Your role in the team

Teams work is vital to our business, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our global user base across regions (UK, US, Europe, APAC), and maintain our position as a leading trading platform. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will drive the technical direction and innovation of our well-established and mature iOS app. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and performance of the app, meeting the high expectations of our global user base. You will work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, mentor less experienced engineers, and actively engage in adopting and promoting modern engineering practices.

What you’ll do:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver seamless user experiences.
  3. Implement and advocate for modern engineering practices such as pair programming, test-driven development (TDD), trunk-based development, and shifting left on testing and security.
  4. Drive technical innovation and continuously improve the codebase.
  5. Mentor and support less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
  6. Open to work with cross-platform solutions to enhance code sharing and maintainability.

What you’ll need for this role

  1. Approx. 5+ years of experience in iOS development with a strong portfolio of released applications on the App Store.
  2. Proficiency in Swift.
  3. Experience with modern engineering practices is a big plus: pair programming, TDD, trunk-based development, etc.
  4. Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns.
  5. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
  6. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and a quality-oriented mindset.
  8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  9. Open to learning and adopting new technologies, including cross-platform mobile frameworks.

We value face-to-face collaboration, so we offer a hybrid working model with 2-3 days in the office expected.
