Our team is looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Automation Specialist for one of our clients.
Our customer builds the powerful storage tools to make data easy to protect, search and manage on any cloud, anytime. The technology is used by more than 500 million people worldwide.
As a Senior Infrastructure & Automation Specialist, you will provide integration support and consulting for on-premise file and object storage platform and multi-cloud data controller.
About the project: this is a software-based scale-out storage solution deployed on standard storage server platforms to create a single, elastic and resilient pool of storage.
Tasks
- Configure and manage Linux servers and associated network services.
- Perform remote hardware configuration and management via IPMI (BIOS setup, power control, hardware monitoring).
- Set up and manage PXE boot servers for automated OS deployment and provisioning workflows.
- Configure RAID controllers and network bonding/teaming for redundancy and performance, using Bash or Python automation scripts.
- Design, develop, and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate administrative and provisioning tasks.
- Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot TCP/IP networks, routing, and connectivity issues.
- Configure and deploy virtual servers in AWS environments (EC2, networking, storage, and security setup).
- Ensure security, reliability, and consistency of system and network configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize infrastructure deployment and maintenance processes.
- (Optional) Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for configuration automation and infrastructure reproducibility.
Our expectations of the ideal candidate
- Proven experience in Linux system administration and server provisioning (bare metal & cloud).
- Strong understanding of IPMI, PXE boot environments, RAID configuration, and network bonding.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and general networking.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, EBS, Security Groups, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation and orchestration.
- Experience with hardware-level and OS-level server configuration.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results in a consulting environment.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools.
- English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or other automation / configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code.
- Exposure to data centre or bare-metal automation environments.
