What You Will Be Doing

• Design and implementation of new systems, and support existing systems to meet business growth and changing business requirements.
• Create functional specifications and provide technical inputs for contracting the technology.
• Challenge the status quo.
• Design and support the implementation of operating models for operations technology.
• Enforce FedEx Design Principles.
• Identify, explore, and resolve system problems.
• Accurately create and maintain system documentation.
• Introduce new techniques and technologies into the team.

What Do You Bring With You

• Degree or professional qualification in industrial/system engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience.
• Mechanical systems engineering, including knowledge of system controls such as PLCs and iPC based machine controls.
• Ability to manage complex mechanical system implementations, including collaboration with IT and Operations teams.
• Ability to manage multiple handshake points between sort technology vendors and various FedEx entities involved in projects.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry (advantage).
• Experience in Engineering (advantage).
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels within an international organization, in both native language and English.
• Self‑driven prioritization, scheduling, progress monitoring, and progress tracking.
• Understanding of industrial infrastructure concepts.
• Knowledge of PLC and system network.
• Analytical thinker with a creative and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Flexible, non‑nine‑to‑five mentality with willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
