For our Client, a global organization within the automotive sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Indirect Purchasing Manager to oversee indirect procurement activities across several key business divisions.
The person selected for this role will lead a team of buyers across Europe and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders. The position focuses on driving cost optimization initiatives, understanding market developments, and enhancing procurement processes.
Lead, guide, and develop a purchasing team while executing both global and regional category strategies, ensuring strong cooperation with internal functions.
Monitor market conditions and commodity developments, including raw materials, to maintain competitive cost structures and assess global influences.
Expand catalog based purchasing for repetitive procurement needs.
Deliver cost reductions through the use of eAuctions.
Ensure efficient sourcing processes and on time delivery of services and materials.
Manage the supplier base in line with company requirements, cost objectives, and contractual commitments.
Conduct supplier business reviews to reinforce long term strategic partnerships and support continuous improvement efforts.
Resolve critical supply chain challenges and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Build a high performance culture by offering coaching and development pathways for team members.
Utilize essential tools and technologies, including SAP, BI Analytics, Coupa, and Microsoft Office.
Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the procurement ecosystem and the team.
Develop and apply sustainable sourcing practices.
Create and implement a vision for a competitive supplier base, ensuring suppliers meet expectations in terms of cost, quality, delivery reliability, technology, and customer service.
Fluency in Polish and English is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline; MBA is an advantage.
Extensive experience in the automotive sector is highly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, quality, procurement, or supplier development.
At least 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
Proven experience leading teams through negotiation and strategic sourcing processes.
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, with the ability to manage complex challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
