Senior HR Specialist – Equinor

Responsibilities

Responsible for administering multiple areas of human resources and rewards programs including HR employment cases related to hiring, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, terminations, contracts, retirements and maintaining personnel records. Includes statistical reporting for internal management and external agencies.

Within This Position, Your Key Tasks Will Be:

  • Execute tasks related to Core HR master data (onboarding, offboarding, life cycle employee data administration), payroll, HR accounting, personnel tax, benefits and travel administration.
  • Support and advise leaders and employees with queries related to payroll and HR master data.
  • Oversee payroll service provider ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, and benefits by providing relevant data (e.g. new hires, terminations, leave of absence, etc).
  • Assist in managing HR systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and compliance with policies.
  • Administration of the time management system and support implementation of new time & absence system (Workday).
  • Execute service requests.
  • Support improvement, digitalization initiatives and change projects across People and Organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Polish labour laws, tax regulations, and internal policies as well as comply with data protection regulations to ensure accurate and confidential maintenance of personnel records.
  • Collaborate with various departments and teams to address and solve HR operations-related issues, provide guidance and support decision‑making.
  • Prepare and support a range of HR reporting and HR analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
  • 7+ years of experience with payroll, time and attendance, HR Admin / Operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of local labour law and willingness to stay up to date on changes in work‑related legislation and mandatory training.
  • Experience in SAP and/or Workday is an advantage.
  • Ability to function as a team player within a matrix organization, managing own priorities and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent internal customer orientation.
  • A proactive way of working and communicating incorporating excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken).
