Senior Financial Analyst

During 2019 Equinix took a significant step in its plan to support the rapid growth of their hyperscale customers – the establishment of a joint venture to own, run, and develop xScale data centers in Europe. This was an exciting milestone by itself, but it also set out a framework for funding future xScale data centers around the world. In following years we continued to invest in the initiative with 3 new JVs being established in APAC and EMEA regions, and now we are looking to scale our global service delivery in 2024.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting – Hyperscale you will have responsibility for end to end reporting activities across several JVs, focused on both internal deliverables as well as reporting to our JV partners, and will report to the Hyperscale Reporting Manager. This is a newly created role in a growing global team dedicated to the accounting and reporting for these JVs, which requires a ‘can do’ attitude with motivation to put their own stamp on the processes and grow with it as the hyperscale strategy grows. The role will be based in Amsterdam or Warsaw.

Responsibilities

1. You manage the timely preparation of the monthly management reporting packs for a set of JVs.
2. Analyze and report on the actuals to budget variances within the JV.
3. You assist in preparation of quarterly investor reporting packs across a set of JVs.
4. You manage commercial fees calculation for a set of JVs.
5. Advise and assist the team as needed on month-end accounting activities.
6. Take part in ad hoc activities including acquisitions, one-off transactions, and the setting up of new JVs.
7. Provide assistance to the Treasury team on finalizing the bank reporting.
8. Work closely with Accounting, Treasury, Finance Operations, and FP&A departments.
9. Continuously drive for improvement in quality and efficiency in new processes and systems to enhance the workflow of the team.
10. Work with an entrepreneurial team spirit.

Accountabilities

1. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs.
2. Perform commercial fees calculation.
3. Performs flux analysis as well as ad hoc deliverables.
4. Work with upstream data owners and cross-functional teams to support reporting activities.

Qualifications

1. MSc or BSc in Finance or Accounting.
2. 5+ years’ experience working in Accounting & Reporting/Financial control role.
3. Experience with either IFRS or US GAAP is ideal.
4. Strong communication skills – both in person and remotely.
5. Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset.
