Team Overview
The Real Estate Fund Accounting team within Alternative Operations provides a full suite of administrative services supporting real estate funds and property management. This includes fund accounting, investor servicing, and ensuring that NAV packs for real estate clients are prepared in line with internal policies and procedures.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and supervise the preparation of periodic accounting and NAV production for real estate funds, including period-end closing activities, construction and validation of financial data, reporting tasks for underlying entities, and consolidation.
- Oversee reviews of general ledger transactions and monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements for multiple real estate properties.
- Perform advanced Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities, including driving service improvement initiatives, enhancing processes, and conducting specialist review functions.
- Resolve reconciliation issues for atypical or complex transactions and support junior colleagues in doing so.
- Draft client reports on the performance of complex funds.
- Interact regularly with clients, addressing questions and resolving issues related to fund reporting and accounting processes.
- Support the evaluation of GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on fund accounting practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–7 years of total work experience preferred; accounting or audit background is an asset.
- Experience preparing financial statements.
- Real estate and investment accounting experience or education is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in business English (B2 and +).
- Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and solid Excel proficiency
