IDG Group is currently seeking an experienced Sr Finance Analyst or Finance Manager to join the company’s Strategic Finance team.

Responsibilities

As the Sr Finance Analyst / Finance Manager within the Strategic Finance team, you will help scale IDG’s financial analytical capabilities and advise on the company’s overall strategy. You will perform data-driven analyses that drive operational and commercial uplift supporting our Data and Software Group under Foundry, as well as for the IDG Technology organization.

You will have the opportunity to lead initiatives independently: making decisions, collaborating closely with the Data and Software group’s SVP, and presenting strategic insights to management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Growing financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
• Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses
• Developing financial models to support valuation, planning, and forecasting
• Aiding in capital budgeting and expenditure planning process
• Reconciling existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
• Conducting comparables analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
• Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
• Strong analytical, data gathering, and reconciliation skills
• High proficiency in financial forecasting, variance analysis, cost analysis, resource planning, and analysis
• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions; proficiency with BI and EPM tools is a plus
• Good business acumen and communication skills
• BA, BS, or degree required (Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics)
• Experience with financial forecasting, financial models, variance analysis, cost analysis, Excel dashboards, data mining, business intelligence, and process improvements.
