The Financial Accounting team covers wide range of financial processes: Accounting, Financial Control, Reporting (Group, Regulatory and Management Information), Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Partnering. The HSBC Global Finance Centre focuses on systems standardization and process transformation to deliver the highest quality analysis and insight to all supported countries.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Minimum 7 years relevant financial control experience including statutory and regulatory reporting.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.) or with Bachelor’s degree in Finance with strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
- Strong IFRS Accounting and Reporting understanding.
- Proven ability to influence at senior levels across functions, geographies and businesses .
- Experience facing off to Senior Stakeholders from businesses, functions and Change teams.
- Strong ability to anticipate, identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls over Reporting processes.
- Ability to identify and implement change and challenge the status quo. Proven experience of driving positive change in the team.
- French language is an asset.

,[Responsible for accurate and time delivery of French GAAP regulatory reporting requirements for HBCE., Initiate process standardization, simplification, automation, de- risking of processes, efficiency initiatives, fast close, value-added insights etc., Support the Finance Change team in due diligence of new financial products, complex non-standard transactions deliveries, projects, new reporting requirements, new system changes and initiatives and maintain a strong control environment., Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external SOX, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business for which responsibility is assigned., Gain a thorough understanding of French GAAP reporting activities, to provide insight and guidance to business areas including Front Office, Tax and Product Control., Ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained through regular dialogue with stakeholders., Responsible for developing reporting processes as necessary, as determined by changes implemented by HSBC Group Finance., Support in investigating and communicating significant variances on a timely basis.
