PerkinElmer is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Krakow Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for US GAAP accounting, reporting, process and compliance activities. They will take ownership of finance related to statutory reporting, tax declarations, and other reports. This role requires maintaining good cooperation with local business and other stakeholders to ensure that work is done according to all corporate and compliance guidelines and policies. The candidate will act as a point of contact for external/internal audits and be responsible for internal control documentation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of the month-end financial statements according to US GAAP.
  • Perform month- and year-end closings, balance sheet and profit and loss accounts reconciliation.
  • Ensure all accounts are analyzed, reconciled with agreed deadlines and documented.
  • Timely and accurately prepare and process accounting documents such as accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred tax calculation, and revenue recognition.
  • Book payroll based on files provided by an external outsourced company.
  • Collaborate with consultants to prepare monthly and annual tax declarations, cooperating with the tax department/local consultant in case of issues.
  • Provide proactive support to internal/external audits.
  • Collaborate on monthly/quarterly deliverables preparation.
  • Independently liaise with external tax auditors and tax advisors to achieve compliance with local tax requirements.
  • Provide support in gathering documents for internal and external audit requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Finance/Accounting with a track record of graduated and scalable success.
  • Fluent in English - at least CEFR B2 level.
  • Demonstrated experience in month-end closing and maintaining ledger independently.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting; US GAAP knowledge will be considered a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion (HFM/Essbase).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Process-driven and organized, with sufficient flexibility to accommodate ad hoc requests.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be professional and ethical with high integrity.
  • Strong proficiency with financial systems and applications; advanced skills in Excel and MS Office applications.
  • Experience working in a global team.
