Were looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with extensive expertise in Java and a strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies. The ideal candidate would also possess broad knowledge or interest in unconventional architectures, such as full-stack applications (Node.js, serverless, GraphQL). We seek a strategic thinker and problem solver to lead our development team in Kraków, Poland, and drive the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The candidate should have a proven track record in both startup environments (0-1 stage) and scaling fast-growing systems, along with excellent leadership and project management skills.

responsibilities :
Manage the full software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Lead, mentor, and guide the development team across multiple projects, implementing best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
Solve complex engineering challenges by balancing time, cost, efficiency, and real-world requirements.
Collaborate with Product Managers to align on strategy, roadmap, and process improvements to boost productivity.
Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability within the team.
Conduct performance evaluations and one-on-one meetings to support team members professional growth.
Partner with HR to recruit and hire top-tier talent to strengthen the team.
requirements-expected :
Proven track record in system development from 0 to 1, with experience in large-scale or complex software systems.
Expertise in software development, team management, and programming languages like Java, Python, and JavaScript. Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and at least one front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
Strong grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Extensive experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Pulumi).
Skilled in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) with experience in performance optimization.
Background in UI design, database structures, statistical analysis, and software integration.
Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
Knowledge of data encryption, cybersecurity best practices, and a strong sense of security awareness.
Familiarity with serverless infrastructure, mobile development, and full-stack applications is a plus.
Up-to-date with industry trends, showcasing strong leadership, decision-making, and technical expertise.
Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration, and exceptional English communication (written and verbal).
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
