Senior EDI Analyst – Bayer
Join Bayer as a Senior External Data Interchange Analyst to translate business requirements into technical specifications, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, the Integration Team, and external IT service providers.

Responsibilities
- Consultancy
- Provide expertise in EDI and data integration, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Project Engagement
- Participate as a vital member of the integration project team, accountable for assessment studies and project execution.
- Support during Hyper‑Care Period
- User adoption and training.
- Onboard new trading partners and update existing solutions.
- Evaluate the impact of changes and plan actions accordingly.
- Single Point of Contact
- Act as liaison between parties, facilitating communication and coordinating cooperation among cross‑functional teams.
- Foster a collaborative environment.
- Ensure problem/incident resolution by coordinating multiple parties and providing insights and technical analysis outputs.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- 5–7 years of experience in EDI/API implementation projects in sales, warehousing, and logistics.
- Knowledge of at least one EDI standard: UN/EDIFACT, ANSI‑X12, TRADACOMS.
- SAP IDoc knowledge (structure & functionality).
- Experience translating business requirements into technical documentation (mapping specifications).
- Experience managing small development teams.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols used in EDI (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTP).
- Basic knowledge of XML, XPath.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud EDI platforms (T‑Systems, OpenText EDI, EDICOM).
- Data integration experience in supply chain, logistics, and sales.
- Familiarity with ITIL and service management frameworks; ITIL certification is an advantage.
- Experience in project management.
