  • Security as a Platform is a Value Stream responsible for making it easy and secure for our customers to access HSBC’s digital services. We operate globally at scale, supporting millions of customers and billions of interactions. We allow customers to setup and manage their security and then authenticate themselves online and through other channels.
  • This role is part of a team of digital product management experts who are assigned to Security as a Platform Value Stream to support the development of market leading digital journeys and experiences, and directly contributes to the effective and efficient delivery of change globally for WPB.
  • This role holder leads and is accountable for the designing, building, and running digital customer experience journeys covering all products, customer types and channels across HSBCs global WPB business. This involves leading cross functional teams (composed of analysts, developers, designers, and scrum teams) across different locations operating in a lean agile product development environment.

responsibilities :


  • Manage the full product lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers continue to be met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
  • Act as owner/champion for one or more products. Selects, adopts, and adapts appropriate product development methods, tools, and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
  • Work closely with Technology & Transformation Leads to ensure the Digital Product change agenda is delivered on time and in budget. Be hands-on and remove delivery blockers through appropriate action and escalation at junior and senior level.
  • Analyse market and/or user research, feedback, expert opinion, and usage data to understand needs and opportunities to identify and achieve ways to differentiate and improve customer experience.
  • Develop product variations to support propositions and determines product positioning and variants for different customer and user segments.
  • Prioritise product requirements and owns the product backlog, coordinating pilots, product launches, communications, and training.
  • Establish the requirements base-lines, obtains formal agreement to requirements, and ensures traceability to source in line with change management policy.
  • Keep up with trends and emerging business models, reimagining how to generate value to the business and to customers as well as be accountable for the objectives and key results across the Digital Product and use data to inform prioritisation and decision making. Maintain a focus on ROI to ensure priorities align to areas of greatest impact through OKRs.

requirements-expected :


  • 5+ years’ experience of Digital Product Management.
  • Data driven analytical approach to problem solving, looking to understand the underlying causes, so that we can build a global solution rather than a series of point solutions.
  • An entrepreneurial drive, with the ability to deconstruct and solve problems.
  • Experience in a global or regional roles, with proven experience in working in a cross functional matrix environment with market and global teams.
  • Extensive experience with the range of product development and deployment activities including identifying opportunities and developing business cases, defining product requirements, engaging a wide range of functional experts to agree deployment approach, project execution, launch, and post launch performance measurement and management.
  • SAFe experience, operating on quarterly planning cycles where your responsibility is to ensure the teams fully understand the priority of the work that they need to pick up, and that it is defined sufficiently for them to estimate accurately and understand any dependencies.
  • Experience of Design Thinking and leading run ahead work to explore new problems or potential ideas, bringing in Design, Analysis, Architecture and Engineering colleagues.
  • Consumer financial services industry experience and strong understanding of Digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle, and/or other consumer product development is a strong advantage.
