Your new role
As a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and operate an internal developer platform running across a multi-account AWS environment. Your mission will be to empower engineering teams to deploy, operate, and scale their applications securely, reliably, and with minimal friction.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining core platform components such as SSO, access management, networking, CI/CD, and observability.
Owning Terraform modules, baseline configurations, and guardrails for distributed teams.
Designing and evolving platform “golden paths” - secure defaults, templates, and standards.
Managing platform Infrastructure as Code (Terraform modules, state structure, governance).
Integrating with team-owned CDK stacks through stable platform contracts.
Leading the evolution of platform abstraction layers and service catalogs.
Designing and managing a multi-account AWS landing zone (Organizations, SCPs, permission boundaries).
Owning developer onboarding patterns (IAM SSO, automation, pipelines).
Building secure cross-account deployment workflows (GitHub OIDC, least privilege).
Designing and operating ECS and EKS clusters supporting hundreds of services.
Managing central networking components (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53) and ensuring secure east–west communication.
Providing self-service tools, templates, and abstractions to simplify deployments.
Creating documentation, running workshops, and offering architectural guidance.
Operating and improving platform-wide logging, metrics, and tracing systems.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience running and operating production systems at scale.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines enabling frequent releases.
Solid knowledge of Git.
Cloud-native mindset and experience designing scalable, highly available cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Coding skills in multiple languages (e.g., TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, Bash).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK, Azure Insights, Kibana).
Strong Infrastructure as Code and automation background (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Experience with API Gateways.
Knowledge of cloud and network security principles.
Ability to stay current with modern technology trends.
Strong documentation skills.
Excellent communication in English.
Familiarity with design thinking, cloud-based architectures, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Fluency in English.
