We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in CMake to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing and managing our build systems, ensuring smooth workflows for modern C++ development, and supporting our efforts to maintain efficiency at scale.
responsibilities :
Analyze the current CMake build system and identify improvement areas to streamline and modernize processes
Design and deploy a robust, scalable, and efficient CMake build system tailored to contemporary standards
Ensure compatibility of the build system with various compilers, tools, and configurations
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to facilitate integration of the build system with existing tools and workflows
Enhance automation by integrating scripts and tools that complement the build process
Develop comprehensive documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for team adoption of new processes
Troubleshoot build issues and work proactively to provide long-term solutions to related challenges
requirements-expected :
At least 5 years of professional experience in build system development with a proven track record in using CMake
Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems and competency in using platform-specific tools like GCC and Ninja
Background in C++ build systems, understanding core components like compilers, linkers, and dependency management
Familiarity with shell scripting or Python for automation tasks
Skills in troubleshooting, debugging build pipelines, and resolving related bottlenecks
Capability to work autonomously while keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring project timelines are met
Strong problem-solving skills coupled with exceptional attention to detail and technical precision
