As part of the Rendering Services team you will be developing and operating our global map rendering services: https://www.here.com/docs/category/map-rendering and upcoming services.
You will be working in an international team comprising of software engineers, devops, architects and QA
You will have the opportunity to work with highly available services, large collections of data and varied software services
You will help us scaling our solutions to new customer demand
You will be instrumental in our goal to optimize our services for high performance and availability, as well as cost efficiency
responsibilities :
Ensuring that our services are stable, secure and running with high-performance on a globally distributed compute platform (AWS, Kubernetes)
Enabling and supporting continuous deployment of our services (Gitlab)
Extending our service deployments to new AWS regions
Monitoring and optimizing our services and infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency
Analysing and fixing issues and bugs in our services
Jointly working with our software engineers on development of our new services
requirements-expected :
M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Proficiency in infrastructure scripting using languages like Python, GO, BASH
Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Understanding of challenges in development of performant and cost efficient systems
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms like AWS as well as related tooling
Good oral and written English communication skills
