Qualifications
- MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years professional experience.
- 5+ years working proficiency in CAD systems such as CATIA V5/V6, PTC Creo, Siemens NX or 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Fundamental experience in combustion engines, transmissions, HV batteries or electric motor design and development; knowledge of manufacturing technology and materials.
- Advanced proficiency in at least one major CAD system and basic knowledge of PLM systems such as Windchill or Teamcenter.
- Excellent English; German language is a plus.
- Strong technical background in physics, mechanics, kinematics, dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Proficient with MS Office, capable of creating presentations and technical documentation.
- High flexibility, self‑driven, quality focused, team player.
- Independent, solution‑oriented with initiative.
- Strong interest in technical subjects.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design in CAD systems (e.g., Pro/ENGINEER, CATIA V5, Siemens NX).
- Perform design and development tasks for classical, hybrid or e‑powertrains.
- Concept work: create 3D layouts, feasibility studies, technical proposals.
- Package investigations, assembly feasibility, technical evaluations.
- Design 3‑D models with focus on DFM or advanced manufacturing (AM).
- Apply CAE simulation results.
- Prepare specification sheets for powertrain components and systems.
- Support projects with technical evaluations, decision matrices, tolerance stack‑ups, project reports.
- Produce and understand 2‑D/3‑D technical documentation and pre‑release checking processes (ISO, DIN, EN, JIS, etc.).
- Support prototype procurement and QA measures (DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP) and communicate with suppliers and purchasing.
