Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to spearhead our new product development projects , ensuring cutting-edge designs that meet Refrigeration and A/C control market needs and customer expectations.

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of control valves and line components from the concept to market launch. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with Danfosss commitment to sustainability and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Develop and evaluate design concepts, considering factors such as functionality, performance, cost, and manufacturability.
2. Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software and maintain design documentation.
3. Execute product testing plans efficiently, making necessary design adjustments based on test results.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize their competencies to succeed.
5. Conduct efficient Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) to identify and resolve design-related issues.
6. Actively participate in design reviews and risk assessments, providing technical expertise and feedback.
7. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical product design and development within the HVAC industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
3. Experience with fast prototyping and platform-based development.
4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
5. Ability to utilize and challenge our dedicated simulation team.
6. Good communication skills.
