Opis projektu oraz wymagania:

Looking for a Senior Database Support Specialist in Warsaw to improve databases support. The role involves working in a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants to drive database support improvements. This position requires close collaboration with the Database Engineering team (governance, security, architecture & design), which runs projects and defines the infrastructure’s future, and with an external company performing most daily support operations from India.The focus will be on reducing the number and duration of major incidents, optimizing resources (people39s work, servers, licenses, etc.), and enhancing support for other teams involved in IT operations and development. Responsibilities include engagement in BCIs and Root Cause Analysis when issues are escalated at the Oracle support level or when MTTR SLAs are violated. The role also includes performance tuning tasks and investigations related to Oracle infrastructure and databases with severe stability and performance issues—specifically targeting the top five critical databases with the lowest performance index scores and highest customer impact on a monthly basis.

• experience in managing at least a few hundreds of Oracle
• skilled at daily DBA management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.),
• Experience with tools for query plan analysis and database monitoring.
• Strong SQL development and tuning background (DML/DDL).
• Familiarity with locking, latching, contention, and rollback handling.
• Solid understanding of performance testing and capacity planning.
• skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.),
• having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2,
• experienced with working for a financial institution.
