Our client is a leading automotive and mobility company operating across Europe. They focus on innovative and sustainable mobility solutions and maintain a strong presence in manufacturing, sales, and advanced technologies.
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support a large-scale SQL upgrade project involving approximately 100 instances, migrating from SQL Server 2012/2016 to SQL Server 2022. The role is primarily based in Poland, with hybrid work arrangements.
Hybrid model: Wrocław office attendance required Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Your responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Administer and optimize SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Manage and support Amazon Aurora, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor and tune database performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure optimal operation.
- Ensure database security and compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Lead and execute database migration projects, specifically migrations from SQL Server 2012/2016 to 2022.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Powershell for database management and deployment.
Our requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases on-premise and in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Hands-on expertise with Amazon Aurora, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong background in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Deep understanding of database security and compliance best practices.
- Proven experience in database migration projects (SQL Server 2012 → 2022).
- Advanced scripting skills using Powershell.
- English language proficiency: B2.
- Experience with enterprise backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Cohesity).
- Knowledge of additional scripting/automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and modern NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data integration platforms, preferably Qlik.
