We’re looking for a skilled Senior Database Administrator to help us manage and evolve our data platforms, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and compliance.

Our client is a Danish company from the pharmaceutical industry, currently expanding its Business Center operations in Warsaw. As part of this transformation, new teams and structures are being built in a modern office on Inflancka Street. Your Role
As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the stability and performance of our database systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven processes and ensure our infrastructure is secure, efficient, and future-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource management
- Ensure data integrity and security in compliance with GDPR and industry standards
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and automation scripts
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions
- Implement backup and recovery strategies and support database upgrades
- Participate in capacity planning and performance forecasting
- Maintain documentation and support audits and inspections as per IT QMS
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and security management
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and DevOps practices
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, GxP)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to mentor junior DBAs and contribute to technical leadership
