Enable and contribute to the implementation of data pipelines and data platforms to ensure the creation of FAIR data products.
Take a specialist role and can contribute to all activities from technical concept definition to solution maintenance and operations. The role focusses on technical soundness and integrity of the solution and will be expected to provide the necessary information to take informed decisions about the technology.
Collaborate with the team of data engineers and application specialists fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence.
Engage with product owners, architects and other data engineers to co-create roadmaps.
You proactively seek opportunities for optimizations – e.g., process/system/platform/data flow improvements or alignments
Defining and communicating the actual solution architecture to support the business strategies in collaboration with the teams working on the implementation
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and efficient data integration solutions.
Wymagania
A master’s degree in Data, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software and data engineering, with at least 2+ years specifically in Data Pipeline Engineering and Integration. Proven ability to lead complex data engineering projects.
Proficiency in Databricks and Spark, with knowledge of their core functionalities for optimizing data workflows and analytics.
Expertise in data modeling, data integration, metadata management, and data governance to establish robust and scalable data architectures.
Proficiency in SQL for complex query development, performance tuning, and data extraction across various databases.
Solid experience with cloud technologies, including Azure and AWS (certifications are a plus).
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools for smooth software delivery and code deployment.
Experience with Python is a plus, particularly for data manipulation and automation.
Familiarity with the Pharma, Biotech industry is considered a big advantage.
Being adaptable to ambiguity, curious about emerging technologies, and committed to fostering collaboration across teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
