• ABOUT THE ROLE
• We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions.
• You will be working as part of a small team building on and improving existing data engineering and delivery patterns, helping drive Wella’s ambition to be more data driven and building data products to enable efficient use of BI and AI within the company.
• This role requires deep expertise in Databricks and Azure, with additional experience in Fivetran and dbt being a plus.
• Industry knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable, along with experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
• In addition, any exposure to AI capabilities within Azure (Co-Pilot, AI Foundry, Azure ML), would be highly advantageous.

• Develop and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure.
• Implement ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data processing.
• Integrate Fivetran and Azure Data Factory for automated data ingestion.
• Utilize dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across platforms.
• Leverage DBT and Databricks for advanced data engineering solutions.
• Help develop good practice data models to support self service Power BI dashboards and business intelligence needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver high-performance data solutions.
• Work closely with Data Architecture and Head of Data Engineering
• Help guide other data engineers

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, and Spark.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data modelling, warehousing, and cloud-based architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DataOps best practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data engineering.
• Experience in CPG industry data challenges and solutions.
