Role Description

LEO Pharma is looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic AI & Cloud Data Services team in Gdansk. Your Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at LEO Pharma, you will play a crucial part in developing and implementing our data infrastructure and data management solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and managing the companys data architecture, data models, and data platforms.
- Developing and implementing data collection systems and strategies to optimize data quality and efficiency.
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to transform data into actionable insights.
- Ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and conducting regular system audits.
- Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in data engineering and technology.
- Driving team spirit with collaborators and being available for advice and solutions.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing data architecture.
- Experience and proficiency with DevOps practices, SQL, and Python.
- Experience with being technical lead on data engineering activities
- Experience with data processing pipelines, data modelling, and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
- Familiarity with storage engines, cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate complex data concepts clearly.
- Have a learning mindset to remain curious about new technologies that can be applied to continuously improve and refine good data engineering practices
Your New Team
You will be part of the AI & Cloud Data Services team, working closely with other technical teams within Global IT and various business units. You will also liaise with external partners, including data vendors, technology providers, and regulatory bodies.
