Senior Data Engineer – Pharmaceutical Industry Lodz

In this role, you will work closely with AI scientists and data analysts to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and systems that support clinical and operational data use cases.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the development of a user-friendly platform for large-scale bioimaging analysis based on open standards for image storage and visualization
• Packaging image processing tasks such as Cellpose on the CPU and GPU
• Contributing to a flexible job architecture that enables scalable processing on the backend of computing
• Developing web-based graphical interfaces for running workflows and navigating data structures

Requirements:

• Application of image processing methods to biological datasets, with an emphasis on microscopy
• Proficiency in developing user-facing applications using Python and/or web technologies (JS/HTML/CSS), using deep learning and classical machine learning methods
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with a pipeline-focused programming language such as Python and SQL, maintaining data pipelines and various data types (structured, unstructured, metrics, logs, etc.)
• ETL/ELT workflow management, real-time streaming, and serialization of data with JSON, XML, YAML
• Fluent communication skills in Polish and English
• Residing in Poland required
