Your tasks

• Designing and implementing scalable systems to process and analyze tens of millions of daily events using Java and Kafka
• Developing and maintaining real-time data pipelines with streaming technologies to enable event-driven architectures
• Working with public cloud infrastructures such as AWS (RDS, S3, EMR) and Google Cloud (BigQuery, GDS) to support big data initiatives
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain platform reliability and scalability, including participating in a rotational 24/7 on-call duty to address critical issues
• Writing and optimizing efficient, maintainable, and scalable code while adopting new tools and technologies to meet evolving business needs

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with strong software engineering expertise and a focus on data processing
• Proficiency in Java and experience with Kafka or other event-driven pipelines
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and scalable, distributed systems
• Familiarity with public cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for seamless collaboration in an international environment
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, ensuring high system reliability
• Residence in Poland is required

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with open-source OLAP systems (e.g., Druid, Pinot)
• Exposure to streaming frameworks for real-time data processing
• Background in telecommunications or cloud communication platforms
