We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to define and lead the design of a modern data platform from the ground up. This role combines strategic decision-making, architecture design, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.
responsibilities :
Define and lead the architecture of a greenfield data platform or data lakehouse.
Design data models, integration patterns, and governance frameworks to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable storage, processing, and analytics solutions using Azure and open-source components.
Establish best practices for ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, and high-performance query access.
Define standards for data governance, security, and compliance across the platform.
Create technical documentation and provide guidance on architecture decisions and technology choices.
requirements-expected :
At least 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale data platforms using Azure / Databricks / Spark.
Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure Data Platform (Synapse, Data Factory, SQL Databases, Data Lake).
Strong knowledge of data modeling, pipeline design, and integration patterns.
Practical experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Databricks, or similar).
Excellent SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Experience defining data governance, standards, and best practices.
