About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing trading team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the business. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust data infrastructure, developing insightful reports, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for various projects.

Reporting line: Head of Business Development

Location: Poland

Responsibilities

  • Data Warehousing and ETL: Design, develop, and maintain a

    centralized data lake by extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, including transactional databases, CRM systems, market data feeds, and third-party APIs.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels, including C-level executives.
  • Performance Tracking: Develop and implement metrics to track the performance of specific projects and initiatives. Monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize outcomes.
  • Automated Reporting: Design and implement automated reporting systems to provide timely and accurate updates to C-level executives and other key stakeholders.
  • Data Governance: Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including trade desk, operations, and technology, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science,

    or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in the financial services industry, preferably with a brokerage firm.
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and asset classes

  • Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and trading principles.

  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques.

  • Experience with the following tools and programs:
    • Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

    • Data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift)

    • AI and its applications in finance

    • Python or R for data analysis

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
