Senior Controller

Your responsibilities

  • We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive experience in controlling and financial management, ideally within a manufacturing environment. The role involves full P&L responsibility for one division and requires strong capabilities in commercial and operations controlling and cost management.
  • Coordinate controlling activities within commercial controlling, operations controlling and cost management
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to analyze revenue, margin development, pricing strategies, and customer profitability
  • Evaluate commercial initiatives, support business cases, and contribute to strategic decision-making
  • Monitor sales performance against budget and forecasts, delivering actionable insights by region and product line
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and multi-year plans
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, including management commentary
  • Develop and improve KPIs to track financial performance
  • Support management reporting cycles through the preparation of reports and development of presentations as required
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate financial processes (e.g. ERP enhancements, BI reporting, etc.)
  • Identify Working Capital optimizations

Our requirements

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 10+ years of controlling experience, with demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Prior experience managing full P&L for a division or business unit is a strong plus
  • Experience in an international manufacturing company is essential
  • Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing business operations, including production processes, supply chain, and cost structures
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools (e.g., QlikSense, Hyperion)
  • Digital fluent, with a strong understanding of BI hierarchies and a keen interest in acting as a strategic link between business, finance, and IT to drive continuous improvement in business intelligence solutions
  • Proficient in Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (local GAAP/IFRS/US GAAP)
  • Behavioral Competencies:
