• Developing solutions on IBM Mainframe using Cobol
• Maintaining key existing Cobol applications (process support, user support, error analysis)
• Collaborating with business analysts and architects in the process of requirement building and solution design
• Optimizing code with a focus on security guidelines and performance aspects
• Ensuring code quality by performing code reviews and unit testing
• Assessing the complexity and workload of assigned projects
• Creating technical documentation as part of the development process
• Overseeing COBOL coding standards across teams
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cobol programming
• Willingness to engage in the entire software development lifecycle (from analysis and development to maintenance/support of the application)
• A strong sense of responsibility for your applications and the teams work
  
• Independence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to new conditions and technological changes
  
• Proficiency in relational databases (knowledge of IBM Db2) and SQL
  
• Familiarity with the insurance industry
  
• Work in multilingual, multinational and multicultural environment on international projects
