Are you ready to participate in defining how we work with Cloud services and infrastructure in Arla?

Join the architecture team in the Platforms area and help define Cloud Policies, Ways of Working, and Guidelines on cloud usage globally in Arla. We are looking for an experienced architect who can work on cloud-related architecture and closely collaborate with IT teams in utilizing the architecture and guidelines while assisting in adhering to defined policies.

How you will make an impact

You will work in our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) that provides a centralized approach to define and implement best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud computing across the Arla organization. Examples of tasks being developed in the CCoE include cloud automation, especially IaC, cloud deployment strategies, Cloud Security enforcement, FinOps support, and automatic cloud provisioning.

Specific tasks:

• Provide technical guidance to teams for the design, implementation, and support of new cloud platform architecture.
• Automate deployments and provide best practices when working with cloud services and infrastructure, facilitating the automation of provisioning cloud resources.
• Provide solution design and architecture in relation to Epics and Features for the Cloud Environments.
• Lead cloud engineering work and initiatives together with other Solution Architects and Engineers.
• Provide estimations to the Product Owner on Cloud-related work.
• Support, coach, and mentor architects and engineers within the cloud and infrastructure area.
• Support architects and engineers in other teams by showcasing and demoing best practices.
• Be at the forefront of cloud and software-related topics.
• Provide all the above using a servant leadership style, always challenging the status quo and leading by example.

What will make you successful

You might have a degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or similar. Regardless of your background, it is important that you have a natural curiosity and interest in the cloud space and the possibilities of utilizing cloud services in value-providing solutions. It is essential that you have extensive working experience with cloud technologies, preferably Azure Cloud, and:

• Knowledge of data and software architecture principles.
• Working experience with container technologies and deployment strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD principles and infrastructure as code.
• Experience in building serverless applications.
• General experience and knowledge about cloud platforms, including FinOps and Security aspects.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support cloud architecture recommendations and decisions with research, industry standards, and best practices.
