As we continue to scale, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Category Manager IT to drive our global indirect sourcing strategy and strengthen category management across the business.

About the Role

As IT Category Manager, you will be the strategic lead for one or more IT spend categories—including hardware, software, cloud services, telecommunications, and IT consulting. You will partner with IT, security, and business stakeholders to design and implement long-term global sourcing strategies that unlock value, foster innovation, and ensure a resilient, secure, and cost-effective IT supply base.

This is a high-impact role ideal for a proactive, analytical, and collaborative procurement professional with solid experience in IT category management.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a central role in shaping our IT sourcing direction, with core responsibilities including:

  • Developing long-term global IT sourcing strategies based on market insights, technology trends, partner requirements, and value opportunities.
  • Leading contract management and tendering activities for IT products and services at a high professional level.
  • Collaborating closely with IT, security, and business stakeholders to co-create category plans and strategies.
  • Building and maintaining a strong global IT supplier base, including contracting, negotiations, relationship management, risk mitigation, and performance monitoring.
  • Leveraging supplier expertise to drive digital innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing supply-base risk, including cybersecurity and compliance requirements, and ensuring supplier resilience.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key IT partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting KKWS’s sustainability and digital transformation ambitions across the global IT supply chain.
  • Ensuring flawless execution of global IT sourcing events.
  • Tracking and delivering global IT performance metrics.

Key Tasks

  • Support the development of cross-functional global IT category teams.
  • Drive performance and continuous improvement within your IT categories.
  • Execute IT category management processes globally.
  • Develop and implement robust IT category strategies.
  • Select and maintain preferred IT suppliers and the Approved Vendor List.
  • Oversee IT supplier onboarding and implementation.
  • Build strong IT supplier relationships and manage supplier performance.
  • Ensure global contract coverage with selected IT suppliers.
  • Conduct cost structure analyses and drive total cost reductions in IT spend.
  • Support IT supplier assessments, qualifications, and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Travel

Approximately 20–40 days per year globally.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in IT, Business, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT procurement and category management within a global environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional global teams and strategic IT initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple IT projects independently.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of IT sourcing processes, tools, and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with D365, SAP, or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
