SaarGummi, a global leader in automotive sealing systems, is looking for a senior professional to strengthen our global controlling function with strong Capex process expertise and a solid engineering background. In this role, you will act as a challenging and knowledgeable partner to Industrial Engineering and plant operations worldwide, ensuring that investment decisions, asset utilization and capacity planning are economically sound and strategically aligned.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global Capex controlling process for machinery and equipment, including budgeting, forecasting, approvals and reporting.
  • Assess and challenge investment requests by combining financial analysis with strong technical and process-oriented understanding.
  • Develop and maintain a transparent global tracking system for machine lifecycles, project timelines and asset availability to increase utilization and reduce unnecessary investments.
  • Evaluate machine reallocation opportunities across plants and support data-driven decisions on capacity, redundancy, productivity and operational risk.
  • Act as a strong counterpart to Industrial Engineering and Operations, challenging technical solutions from an economic and utilization perspective.
  • Work closely with plant management and operations across multiple countries and cultures, fostering collaboration between Finance, Engineering and Production.
  • Provide strategic recommendations balancing customer requirements, project dynamics and economic constraints.
  • Conduct regular plant visits to assess equipment condition, utilization and investment needs on-site.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or related) combined with strong business acumen; additional finance or controlling experience is a strong advantage.
  • Solid technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes in the automotive or industrial sector.
  • Strong Capex process knowledge, from investment request to lifecycle and utilization tracking.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions with data, facts and clear economic reasoning.
  • Strong communication skills to operate effectively in cross-functional, international and multicultural environments.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI and modern IT/analytics tools is considered a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
