Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Water Integration teams in Krakow, Poland. You will work on Civil engineering software, like Autodesk Civil 3D, to help civil engineers to design and analyse complex drainage systems.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about designing and developing high quality software solutions which may combine desktop applications, web clients and cloud services.

You will have a significant impact on how we design, build, and deliver our products to millions of professionals. You will report to the Engineering Manager, and work in a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining software for various products and components. You will work on a variety of unique challenges which give you the chance to learn modern technology and grow your skills.

This team works in a Hybrid working model based from our Krakow office.

Responsibilities

1. Development and software architecture working with senior software engineers and architects across the product line group.
2. Address complex engineering problems, while being aware of how to break them down into manageable work chunks.
3. From time to time act as a feature champion and oversee its implementation within the team.
4. Prototype, implement, and maintain production software and software components.
5. Perform regular code reviews.
6. Write unit and integration tests.
7. Support both manual and automated testing. Create scripts to support automation testing.
8. Work with the Agile team at improving Quality Assurance processes and be an ambassador for quality.
9. Collaborate within your team and with teams of engineers to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, deliver, and maintain complex features within desktop applications, cloud services, and desktop components.
10. Work with the product owner, experience designer, and product management teams to review and implement proposed designs.
11. Actively participate in team meetings.
12. Be Agile and use LEAN methodology as an active member of a Scrum team.
13. Collaborate using tools such as Git, JIRA, and wiki pages.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 5+ years experience programming with C++.
2. Experience in software development in a commercial setting in a scaled Scrum team scenario with several teams working on shared deliverables.
3. Experience handling large scale code basis and refactoring.
4. Passion to improve product quality.
5. First or upper-second class degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
6. Advanced English knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Git or similar source code revision control systems.
2. Working experience or educational background in AEC industry is a plus.
3. Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, and Test Automation.
4. Familiarity with, or an interest in learning, React for UI development.
5. Understanding of deployment methodology.
