Alcon is continuously advancing their medical devices and further enabling them with connectivity features and cloud-based services. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop a set of tools, services, libraries, etc. to enable integration of current/legacy devices into the modern cloud/on-prem infrastructure of Alcon digital services and ensure data interoperability, integrity, and security.

Therefore, Alcon is looking forward to evaluating GL capabilities to effectively ramp up the needed team and execute outstanding scope of work.

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in C++ development.
2. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
3. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
4. Strong grasp of memory management, multi-threading, and real-time environments.
5. Experience with embedded systems and low-level hardware interactions.
6. Knowledge of GPU programming and optimization techniques.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code.
2. Develop performance-sensitive components that are optimized for speed and memory usage.
3. Handle multi-process system architecture and ensure seamless inter-process communication.
4. Work with embedded databases, understanding their limitations, and optimizing data storage and retrieval.
5. Implement networking protocols and manage socket programming for client-server communication.
6. Utilize GPU processing techniques for computationally intensive tasks.
7. Collaborate with other team members to define system architecture and explore new technology opportunities.
8. Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
