What We Are Looking For
The Charles River Development Middle Office team seeks a Senior Business Analyst to drive improvements in client experience, product features, and the strategic position of the CRD Investment Management System. The role requires a balance of financial and technical knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to deliver timely project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development
- Research and produce business and technical requirement documents
- Work directly with customers and the product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications with involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle
- Partner with development to help develop, implement, and refine features
- Provide feedback on product performance
- Collaborate with the documentation team to ensure accurate and complete product documentation
- Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases
- Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
- Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology including attending all daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Participate in group testing activities as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall experience in software development, business analysis, and financial technologies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a Business discipline with an MIS background (Master’s degree strongly preferred)
- Experience within the Investment Compliance space or similar regulatory technology (RegTech) area preferred but not essential
- Curiosity and interest in financial markets and regulatory technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills
- Advanced writing skills, including the ability to abstract/summarize highly detailed information
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data
- Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements
- Strong technical background
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documents
