This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen‑associated countries in the management of the EUs external borders and the fight against cross‑border crime.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant professional IT experience
• Minimum 5 years of proven project experience in a similar position or profile
• At least a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum C1 level proficiency in English (certification is an advantage)
• At least two of the following certifications:
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent
  • Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level
  • Or equivalent certifications recognized internationally
• Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution
• Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation
• Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis
• Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model, etc.)
• Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others
• Presents excellent analytical and communication skills
• Holds ability to create and maintain analytical and project documentation effectively
• Presents problem‑solving skills
• Has knowledge or experience from projects in the area of authentic and false identity and travel documents
• Has knowledge or experience from projects related to systems processing large numbers of images

Responsibilities

• Model and document value‑chain/streams, business processes, roles, capabilities and data
• Elicit and analyse business needs, requirements and user stories
• Support business experts and product owners during definition of requirements and software development
• Maintain and track requirements/user stories in systems lifecycle
• Transfer business, users and technical needs into business requirements specification
• Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, system features
• Analyse available systems
• Support identification of options for potential solutions
• Support preparation of business cases and feasibility studies
• Contribute to systems design, testing, quality assurance, change management
• Design, validate and test business processes for achieving business‑process excellence
• Take a holistic approach in planning and managing a programme for continuous improvement of business processes
• Coach Frontex staff on upcoming changes, ensuring that a plan is in place to teach new skills and/or process changes
• Collaborate with owners of end‑to‑end processes to continually seek out process improvements
• Identify opportunities for business‑process improvement leading to improved customer service, lower costs or higher revenue (effectiveness and efficiency gains)
• Communicate project objectives, business case, requirements and scope to all stakeholders to better provide rapid responses to business needs
• Quantitatively analyse business processes, performing cost‑benefit and what‑if analysis
• Plan organisational changes process
• Implement performance monitoring systems for business processes
• Support business users in developing strategic and tactical plans (e.g., sector strategies, implementation plans, etc.)
• Support definition of transition roadmaps for business architectures
