- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- 2+ years working with cryptocurrency systems or trading systemsDemonstrated track record of building and operating production systems at scale
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one of: Python (async/asyncio), Go, Rust, or C++
- Deep understanding of concurrency, async programming, and memory management
- Experience integrating with cryptocurrency exchange or similar APIs (REST and WebSocket)
- Direct experience with cryptocurrency exchanges
- Experience building real-time systems with strict latency requirements (<100ms processing)
- Understanding of performance profiling and optimization
- Knowledge of order books, market microstructure, trading fees, slippage, and execution algorithms
- Experience with trading systems or financial data processing
- Proficiency with databases for trade history and analytics (time-series databases preferred)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, failure modes, and recovery patterns
- Exceptional debugging skills for complex distributed systems
- Ability to reason about race conditions, deadlocks, and concurrency issues
