Senior BIM Coordinator – Transportation
This role manages the implementation of BIM and Information Management on transportation projects within Enterprise Capabilities. The coordinator collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across the globe to deliver high‑quality digital solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Project BIM Strategy – Execute the technical approach for project delivery.
- Project CDE Management – Configure and administer the project’s Common Data Environment.
- Multidisciplinary BIM Management – Lead the BIM execution and delivery.
- BIM Management Documentation – Produce the BIM Execution Plan and related appendices.
- Cloud Collaboration – Configure cloud collaboration tools for the project.
- Multidisciplinary Model Federation – Set up the federated model.
- BIM Execution Compliance – Audit BIM models and report compliance results.
- BIM Content Management – Curate BIM objects, families, and templates.
- Project Content Configuration – Configure templates and create content to achieve project standards.
- Quality Assurance – Produce and administer digital quality assurance procedures.
- Technical Support – Integrate data‑integrated workflows and provide guidance and training to project teams.
- Scan‑to‑BIM – Integrate point cloud surveys with the project information model.
- 4D BIM – Integrate 4D metadata with the project information model and produce simulations and animations per project scope.
Minimum Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 19650 and related BIM standards.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects with geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience delivering BIM data from civil, structural, and roadway design using software such as Civil3D, Revit, InfraWorks, OpenRoads, or OpenRail.
- Experience administering a Common Data Environment such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Bentley ProjectWise.
- Advanced coordination skills in clash detection and issue management using Navisworks, Revizto, or ACC Model Coordination.
- Strong technical production of 3D and 2D model deliverables for transportation projects, including civil structures, utilities, and stations.
- Preferred knowledge of visual programming (Dynamo, Bentley Generative Components, or Grasshopper).
- Demonstrable portfolio of BIM projects in the transportation business.
- International experience working with global project teams, especially in Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Middle East, or Asia.
- Fluent communication in English (oral and written).
- High proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Technical design process and construction knowledge for transport and civil infrastructure disciplines.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Design Technology, Construction Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years in BIM and digital delivery, with previous formal multidisciplinary BIM Coordinator experience.
