Our customer is one of the world’s largest technology companies based in Silicon Valley with operations all over the world. In this project, we are working on the bleeding edge of Big Data technology to develop a high-performance data analytics platform, which handles petabytes datasets.

We are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer.

Essential Functions

1. Design and Develop Big Data Solutions
2. Data Ingestion and Processing
3. Real-Time Data Processing
4. Data Quality and Governance

Qualifications

1. Strong hands-on expertise in Apache Druid, Spark and Airflow
2. Experience with NoSQL databases; experience with SQL is a plus
3. Strong expertise in OLAP, including batch and streaming processing
4. Proven experience with data-intensive applications and hands-on data processing
5. Production experience with Snowflake would be a plus
6. Hands-on experience with Hadoop
7. Cloud-based experience is essential (AWS preferable, but not limited)
8. Practical experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
