Senior BI Front-end Developer

Your New RoleAs a Senior BI Front-end Developer, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising intuitive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and the BI back-end team, you will ensure that complex business needs are translated into clear, scalable, and user-friendly analytical solutions. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced BI solutions, contribute to large-scale digital transformation projects, and provide expert-level support and training to promote self-service analytics. This role also includes mentoring junior analysts and acting as a strategic advisor on BI-related topics.
What You39ll Need to Succeed
- Expert-level experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing principles, and performance tuning
- Experience with Power BI and DAX
- Deep understanding of data integration, ETL frameworks, and modern data pipeline architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and agile development practices
- Experience providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching within the development team, conducting peer reviews, and improving technical delivery standards
- Relevant educational background in IT, computer science, or a related field
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, MS Fabric) is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of complex data models for BI platforms
- Develop and deliver advanced BI solutions that generate strategic value and support data-driven decision-making at all organisational levels, including top management
- Act as a senior liaison between IT and business, translating high-level business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Contribute to large-scale BI and digital transformation projects with a focus on optimisation and innovation
- Participate in optimisation of processes and enhance data sharing across business systems and departments
- Serve as a trusted BI advisor and capacity for the business
- Provide expert-level 2nd-line support for BI-related issues
- Lead training initiatives to upskill employees in BI tools and promote self-service analytics
