As a part of our global Business Transformation Delivery and Execution team, you will be managing delivery of finance projects, leading workstreams, gathering and analyzing information and developing actionable recommendations to ensure successful delivery. You will be involved in working on challenging assignments, assisting our clients through their transformation and organizational change journeys. You will also be part of a team creating industry-leading solutions in widely understood project management services.

Your key responsibilities

• You will support our clients in the business and organizational transformation journey, actively becoming a trusted advisor in project management matters for both clients and EY colleagues.
• You will provide consultation and recommendations based on client’s requirements and develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
• You will work with various teams to ensure that client’s requirements, budget and milestones for projects are met.
• You will be advising our clients within the context of transformation projects in the banking sector. This involves a business-oriented and holistic perspective with innovative approaches.

Responsibilities include:

• Advising banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions on optimizing and restructuring processes, digital solutions, and transformation processes.
• Collaborating with colleagues from various departments within the global EY network, taking responsibility for project progress, and providing professional leadership to team members.
• Communicating with clients and managing clients’ expectations.
• Generating new business potentials, ideas for products, services, and processes through customer-centric prototyping and creating product visions in the finance sector.
• Utilizing a range of methods from project management to Design Thinking and Lean Startup.

Skills and attributes for success

• Good planning and organizing, ability to see the big picture as well as focused on details and errorless delivery.
• Excellent professional communication skills, ability to approach senior stakeholders using appropriate levels of detail, terminology, and fit-to-purpose communication.
• Ability to work in a continuously changing environment, proactive with a can-do attitude, looking for solutions and opportunities.
• Strong project management skills including agile methods.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with emphasis on banking.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Finance roles at banks, insurance companies, or other financial institutions.
• Good understanding of banking products e.g. loans, cash management, factoring etc.
• Proven experience in participating in finance processes within a financial institution environment, ensuring compliance with banking regulatory standards.
• Analytical mindset, allowing you to deeply understand topics and implement successful transformation strategies.
• Strong team and customer orientation, willingness to learn, high engagement in responsible tasks, and a holistic view of the overall picture.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Financial project management experience, especially in financial institution-related projects. Certifications such as PMP, Agile PM or Prince2 are a plus.
• Further European language (preferable German and/or French).
• Proficiency, if applicable, in project tools like Teams, Jira, Trello, GitHub, Miro, Slack, ServiceNow, Triskell, etc.
• Prior experience in project management in direct collaboration with executive committees.
