The service provider will engage with a cross-functional team responsible for how HelloFresh communicates with customers at scale. The team builds backend-driven, AI-powered systems that automate campaign execution end-to-end—from configuration and content generation to validation and orchestration across channels such as email, SMS, and push. Working with large-scale data and machine-learning–driven decisioning, this role helps design and operate reliable, scalable services that reduce manual effort while improving speed, consistency, and customer relevance. This role does not include people management responsibilities.
responsibilities :
Collaborate within an autonomous, cross-functional agile team of 6–10 people, working with Product Leads, Frontend Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Intelligence teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Maintain accountability for the architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of microservices, autonomously driving complex business challenges from conception to resolution.
Build and maintain robust event-driven systems using state-of-the-art technologies.
Leverage modern AI tools and DevOps practices to enhance productivity, utilizing methodologies like vibe coding and pair programming.
Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues by sharing practical knowledge and trends, fostering a collaborative environment.
Advocate for best engineering practices, including CI/CD, TDD, and Design Patterns.

Expertise in Python development, covering the full lifecycle from unit, integration, and functional testing to application tuning, profiling, and continuous integration.
Solid background in event-driven microservices architecture, utilizing tools such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
Proficiency with data storage, including relational databases like PostgreSQL and object stores like AWS S3.
Strong agile mindset, with a focus on lean thinking, quick iterations, and continuous delivery.
Ability to utilize monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog to ensure system health.
Experience integrating external systems, such as third-party vendors, APIs, marketing platforms, or messaging services.
