About the project

This is a rare opportunity to help shape quality practices across an end-to-end platform spanning high-resolution imagery, AI-driven insights, and scalable data delivery systems while establishing API projects in our new Warsaw engineering hub. You'll be contributing to a platform that processes petabytes of aerial imagery, powers advanced AI models, and delivers real-time geospatial insights to customers around the world.

Your responsibilities

• Champion the evolution of Nearmap’s geospatial data platform, including distributed imagery storage, AI data pipelines, and content delivery optimisation.
• Ensure sub-second latency and high-throughput performance across customer-facing APIs and internal services

Our requirements

• 5+ years experience in backend technologies including Go and/or C#.
• Deep understanding of API design, cloud-native architectures (such as microservices, containers, events) preferably on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability tooling.
• Experience with distributed storage or content delivery.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining distributed systems and data-access platforms in a cloud environment
