About the project

Seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in the Microsoft Power Automate platform and a demonstrated ability to reimagine and transform business processes—not merely automate them as-is. This individual will design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient automation solutions that streamline operations, overcome substantial technical debt challenges, and help our teams operate at peak efficiency. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a creative problem-solver, and a thought leader in end-to-end workflow optimization, capable of challenging the status quo, and guiding operational leaders to adopt more efficient, sustainable approaches long after implementation.

Your responsibilities

  • Architect and Implement End-to-End Automated Workflows: Develop complex, future-ready automation solutions within Power Automate Flows, integrating multiple data sources, SaaS applications, and on-prem systems.
  • Thought Leadership in Process Transformation: Engage with stakeholders to deeply understand business processes, challenge legacy approaches, and design improved, leaner workflows that maximize productivity, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Overcome Technical Debt: Identify and modernize legacy processes, apply RPA best practices, and refactor existing scripts, connectors, and integrations to ensure performance, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
  • Enterprise-Wide Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to unify data sources, streamline operational flows, and establish a cohesive, enterprise-wide automation ecosystem using RESTful APIs, Azure Functions, and other services.
  • Continuous Improvement & Operationalization: Implement robust operational frameworks around automations, including real-time monitoring, alerting, reporting dashboards, and production-level QA measures that ensure consistent, predictable outcomes.
  • Enable Ownership Post-Implementation: Provide guidance and training materials to operational leaders, supporting them in owning and evolving the automated processes. Establish governance and best practices that ensure teams can adapt and improve solutions independently.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce comprehensive architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and self-service guides to bolster self-sufficiency among internal teams.

Our requirements

  • Deep Expertise in Microsoft Power Automate: Proven mastery in building complex flows, custom connectors, advanced conditional logic, and error handling.
  • Process Transformation Mindset: Experience evaluating and redesigning business processes for efficiency, not just automating existing steps. Able to apply frameworks like Lean Six Sigma to drive measurable improvements.
  • Low-Code/No-Code & Scripting: Strong proficiency in low-code platforms, with additional scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, and Shell scripting to customize and extend automation solutions.
  • Cloud Services & DevOps: Comfortable with Azure DevOps pipelines, cloud, unmanaged and hybrid flows.
  • API Integration & Data Transformation: Skilled at integrating with REST APIs, working with JSON/XML transformations, and employing ETL/ELT tools to guarantee smooth data flows.
  • Technical Debt Remediation: Demonstrated success in refactoring outdated solutions to modern, maintainable architectures.
  • Operationalization & Continuous Improvement: Adept at implementing production QA, monitoring, real-time alerting, and reporting mechanisms that ensure long-term performance and reliability.
  • Security & Compliance Acumen: Knowledgeable about secure authentication, data encryption, and adherence to compliance frameworks within automation solutions.
  • Communication & Leadership: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts, influence decision-makers, and mentor colleagues. Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Industry Experience: 7+ years in enterprise automation, workflow engineering, or RPA roles with a proven track record in large, complex environments.

Optional

  • Change Agent: Able to challenge entrenched practices, encourage new thinking, and drive cultural change toward a more innovative and efficient operational model.
  • Metrics-Driven: Skilled at defining KPIs, analyzing performance data, and using insights to iterate and improve.
  • Coaching & Knowledge Sharing: Committed to growing organizational capabilities by mentoring peers, creating training resources, and fostering a knowledge-sharing environment.
