Senior Associate, SOX Control & Compliance
Job Description
We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate to join our SOX & Controls team. This role is located in Wroclaw, Poland.
Responsibilities
- Support the Group Manager in the execution of the BCBS 239 independent testing program by taking ownership of assigned validations and delivering the following key activities:
- Execute rigorous verification and testing of BCBS 239 related reports, processes, and controls.
- Independently assess, through verification and testing, the controls to ascertain whether they are compliant with BCBS 239 principles.
- Identify control gaps related to the BCBS 239 principles through verification and testing.
- Coordinate with control owners on remediation plans including following through to ensure corrective actions are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Support the execution of the BCBS 239 assessment program in providing thorough and reliable identification of planning, testing, documentation, and reporting of the effectiveness of BCBS 239 compliance for delivery to senior management and external committees.
- Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels and departments of the organization.
- Lead and/or assist on special projects as the need arise.
- Contribute to the achievement of team goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 3‑5 years of total work experience in public accounting, BCBS 239, SOX testing, financial services or shared services is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (preferred but not required).
