About the Role
The Setup Operations team, located in Canada, the United States, Poland, and India, performs critical functions on Innocap’s Dedicated Managed Account Platforms (DMAPs). As a Senior Associate you will support platform growth, working closely with hedge fund asset managers, clearing and OTC counterparties, and fund administrators to deliver high‑quality data integration and operational support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain accurate reporting frameworks for data mapping from counterparty reports into internal systems.
- Automate trade reconciliation by aligning security identifiers across reports using proprietary coding syntax.
- Interpret broker and administrator reporting to design reusable templates that streamline fund setup and ensure accurate data routing.
- Monitor trade, margin, and cash data integrity, proactively resolving mismatches and setup gaps across cleared and OTC instruments.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration to manage end‑to‑end platform launches and liquidations, ensuring accurate integration, operational readiness, and secure SFTP setups.
- Partner with internal development teams to build new functionalities, automate workflows, and reduce manual intervention.
- Operate within a shared mailbox model to manage tasks and respond to queries while fostering continuous learning through knowledge sharing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with data mapping, position reconciliations, margin processing, and collateral management. Familiarity with Excel macros, SQL, VBA, and data warehousing or reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex data issues and developing scalable solutions.
- Intermediate‑to‑advanced understanding of financial markets, instruments, and operational processes, including equities, fixed income, FX, listed and OTC derivatives.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Operations, Middle Office, Treasury, or data‑focused roles, managing large‑scale data operations with precision and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
