Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting
At BNY, we are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Private Equity & Credit Fund Accounting team in Alternative Operations. The role is located in Wrocław, Poland and focuses on driving high‑quality accounting services for private equity, credit, and lender funds.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
- Perform complex Fund/Client Accounting responsibilities, driving service‑improvement plans, targeting efficiencies, and enhancing processes.
- Provide input into methodologies and review the work of junior team members.
- Guide and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions.
- Resolve reconciliations for complex or atypical transactions and review work of junior staff.
- Draft and review reports for clients regarding performance of complex funds.
- Regularly interact with clients to answer questions and resolve issues related to fund reports and accounting processes.
- Assist in evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules to determine the impact of new regulations on BNY fund accounting practices.
- Provide guidance to less experienced team members; may have people‑management responsibilities in some geographies.
- Contribute to the achievement of related team objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 5 years of work experience preferred; Fund Accounting experience is desirable, or related areas such as Transfer Agency, Corporate Trust, Financial Reporting, Audit or Reconciliations.
- Prior experience with Private Equity, Credit Funds, and Bank Loans is an advantage.
- Good leadership/supervisory experience; people‑management experience is an advantage.
- Experience working with the Geneva or Investran platform is a plus.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Business‑level proficiency in English.
