Senior Application Support Specialist (eFront)

Your responsibilities

  • supporting smooth application operation and development of project releases for multiple applications in your portfolio
  • supporting the stable and secure maintenance of the core system Blackrock eFront  especially expert in eFront basis administration and eFront user administration
  • taking over the internal product responsibility for IT products or product groups. Ensure compliance with required IT and risk controls
  • supporting Product Managers as requirements lead to manage and prioritize the backlog using our agile methodology framework MR Essentials
  • supporting Product Managers with controlling and monitoring external providers with regard to Incidents and Change Management of applications or application groups in the area of responsibility
  • advising business departments or IT colleagues on service offerings
  • collaborating in transition projects and in the further development of the service in general
  • creating and maintaining procedures for existing processes and documentation around knowledge management, compliance regulations, and vulnerability remediation

Our requirements

  • fluent command of Business English
  • university degree in Computer Science/Business Information management or a similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering results in a fast-paced, global, and regulated business environment, esp. in the Asset Management context
  • expert level in the Blackrock eFront application
  • knowledge of cloud infrastructure
  • experience with agile project methodologies and DevOps processes and tools is an asset
  • planning, coordination, and organizational skills to ensure smooth application support processes and as well to assist the Product Manager or the customer directly
  • flexibility and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things, and able to propose innovative ideas

  • ITIL certification or willingness to pursue one

About the role

As a Senior Application Support Specialist, you will support smooth operations of the applications and support project activities, including the transition from transform to support processes. You moreover provide application maintenance and support services to users or to service delivery functions and contribute to the operations of a dedicated application or group of applications.
