Join iC Consult as a Senior Application Developer / Enterprise Architect (m/f/d) and be a key part of our IT team! Embrace remote work flexibility while working once a week in our office in Essen.

Role Overview

As a Senior Application Developer / Enterprise Architect (m/f/d) for our internal applications and services, you are part of the international IT team and act as a link between internal business stakeholders, developers and the IT operations team. You will work independently and autonomously and report to the Head of IT and the CIO. Solution-oriented thinking and acting is always in focus for you.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design: Define and optimize the architecture of new and existing software for scalability, maintainability, and efficiency
2. Software Development: Utilize extensive experience in developing, coding, writing test cases and maintaining complex software applications to collaborate with the team to meet quality standards and requirements
3. Technical Leadership: Take a technical leadership role within the development team by managing and guiding junior developers and providing technical expertise
4. Problem Solving: Tackle and resolve technical issues, ensure optimal performance and fix challenging bugs or errors in the code.
5. Code Review: Conduct code reviews to maintain coding standards and quality, providing constructive feedback to developers to ensure a consistent code base

Your Skills and Requirements

1. Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
2. Confident demeanor and leadership qualities to lead the development team technically
3. Working independently and self-motivated , with a strong capability for rapid learning
4. Passionate about creating innovative solutions tailored to internal departments and customers
5. Extended experience with one or more programming languages , like Java, C#, Python
6. Proficient in German and English , ensuring effective communication across diverse teams
